Director’s Biography:
Born on 8th September, 1961, he is a Commerce Graduate from Mumbai. Media has been his companion and source of inspiration for over 19 years now. Mahendra was associated with veteran filmmaker Dr. Jabbar Patel in scripting and acting on various projects. He has written plays and for TV for some years. Mahendra has directed the plays ‘Chaukon’ and ‘Rajju’ ( won Natyadarpan award ) and some television series and TV commercials.
Synopsis: The protagonist of the film, Anant Velankar, buys a lottery ticket in the hope of earning extra money one day, but his brother, Shridhar, counters him by saying “Naseeb se mauka milta hai, paisa nahi ( luck gives you an opportunity, not money). You should be in search of such an opportunity that you can convert into making money.” Anant and his wife, daughter and brother live a straight forward life, till Anant accidentally witnesses a crime that unintentionally fetches him a big time money making opportunity. Anant was a proud follower of set rules of morals and ethics, but he takes the path of greed and lust that is uncharacteristic of him.
